World of Warcraft

Being in the gaming world for some time now, I've discovered the love for PC games especially the strategy and adventure games. The first game I started playing was Monkey Island. When I look back and check the graphics I couldn’t believe how I used to play it for hours and hours. Well that’s all in the past I moved to Command and Conquer, Diablo and Doom. Some of these games had the option to connect to other people through servers and compete against top players. Well that’s not the end either; the gamming revolution didn’t stop there but the era of (MMORPG) massively multiplayer online role-playing games started. This gave players the option to create characters, customize them and take role in conquering the universe or take control against other races. I started with Final Fantasy On-line since I’ve played some releases on my PlayStation. It took me 3 years to loose interest. This game was so fun and full of graphics but also very difficult and time consuming. The thing that I didn’t like about it is that you always need to be in a full party with balanced “Jobs”. For example a healer and a tank needs to be available and also a “DD” Damage Dealer. Waiting sometimes took hours which was really stupid just sitting there dong nothing. Anyway I took interest in World of Warcraft by mistake a got a new copy from a friend of mine. I said ok its time to start something new. The diversity of the game was so cool you can never find two characters the same, sometimes the quests where easy, hard, or funny. I couldn't stop playing and I can do stuff in the game solo, so no more waiting for parties or group members to do stuff. The currency in the game is gold which you can get from crafting, gathering, selling stuff you find or auctioning them in the action house. World of Warcraft or WOW, also gave the option to customize the user interface, so you can create add-on's or download some from the internet. The story is so cool and the expansions keep coming out that you cant really keep up and there are thousands of things to do not only killing stuff. You can craft stuff with different professions like blacksmithing of leather working or even create potions. Maybe stop for a while and go fishing or start cooking. When I joined first time I noticed different servers and found the PVP servers are the coolest. PVP stands for player vs. player where you can kill other players on battlegrounds with certain objectives. I’ve been playing WOW for more than 3 years now and I always discover something new every day.
